Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11 amβ8:30 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (773) 735-2050. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is vitoandnicks.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
Customers rate it 4.4 out of 5 on Google across 3,280 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded pizza restaurants in Chicago.
Chicago is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Chicago follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

My absolute favorite Chicago thin crust pizza. Well seasoned which the majority of pizza places donβt get right. Very thin crust, flavorful sausage, quality cheese and pepperoni. Every piece is a flavor bomb. They cook it so it has a very tasty char flavor in the under carriage which if different than any other pizza Iβve had in Chicago. Very old school southside dive bar vibe and they do it right. When you visit Chicago and you want to try pizza, Vito and Nicks is a must.

SO glad I heeded the advice of various Internet Citizens and went here to sample truly delicious Tavern Style Chicago Pizza and Vibe. Sat at the bar, the servers were AWESOME, the drinks and the pizza were divine. I'll be coming back whenever possible. This is a place that reminds me of my youth - crammed with locals, totally casual, no stress in evidence anywhere. Just contented locals eating, drinking, watching the games. Remember: Ca$h only! I forgot, and they got no ATM. So I walked the 6 minutes north to "The best ATM ever" to fill my wallet and waltz back in time to finish my cocktail and dive into a PBR and 'za. Totally OK with me!

People rave about the tavern style thin crust pizza. Pizza is alright, crust is thin and crunchy. Can't say it's anything extraordinary though. Put it nicely the place has its charm, but frankly it also means it's old and dark. If you're nearby I'd say definitely go grab a bite, you won't be disappointed. Food is good and servers are friendly. Personally I wouldn't make it a destination and go out of the way just to eat there. BTW They don't take credit card.

When looking for a pizza place in Chicago, no list worth its salt, omits Vito and Nick's in it's top five. However, in all of my trips to the Windy City, I have never been to this South Side pizza joint. Today was the day. If you are looking for comfortable seats and a trendy atmosphere, this is not your place. If you are looking for great pizza and genuine people, you will find what you are looking for. It started with Joe the bartender. Friendly guy that was willing to engage in conversation. We had a nice discussion about Tge Beloved and whether they would move to Arlington Heights, stay downtown, or move to NW Indiana. Let's get to the food. First things first ... there is only one beer on draught and that is Old Syle. It is shocking how good an ice cold Old Style draught is when you are sitting at a bar in South Chicago. The pizza ... Wow! A lot of people think pizza in Chicago is deep dish, but that is for the tourist. Great pizza in the Midwest is cracker thin. Vito and Nick's delivered. It was sooooo good. The crust was thin and crispy and the sausage was perfectly seasoned. The pizza was top five on my list ... Loved it!

I was a little disappointed, not sure what I was expecting . I ordered a sausage, onion, green pepper and fries . It was a busy night, not sure if that affected my experience. French fries were dry and hard (like they were sitting on top the oven too long) barely any sausage on my pizza. Pizza overall just lack something and 38.00 for a 14in pizza and fries seemed like a bit much. Next time I will try just sausage and will order on a weekday and see if anything changes.
